It's not cheap, but it is pretty damn cool, I'll admit.

Gizmon

The ultimate iPhone case has just been reborn. Taking you back to the days of Military Photographers and their Leica rangefinders, the iCA Military Edition has arrived in solid black.

Transform your iPhone 4/s into a classic photojournalist’s rangefinder complete with viewfinder and top mounted shutter button. Attach the available wide, macro or fisheye lenses to create incredible effects unavailable in the iPhone by itself.

Step back in time to the days of classically proportioned cameras that fit your hand like a glove, and do it all with one product : the Gizmon iCA Military Edition.

Constructed of 23 Durable Polycarbonate pieces, the Military iCA wraps itself around your iPhone completely, creating an entirely new Camera. The iCA blurs the line between phone and camera by combining them both.

A detachable tripod mount is great for longer exposures and the soft fabric bag will protect the Camera when not in use.

Apparently, there's a fisheye and a macro lens available for it too.

How do I mount my new fake Leica to a tripod? I'm thinking about getting this for birding...it would look awesome with a 500mm telephoto mounted to it! ;)

I dunno, if I was a hip iPhone hipster with cash to burn, I'd buy one of these. It would be unique and seems to work as nice as any other high end iPhone case out there. I've seen the alloy cases that cost over a $100.

nice idea... useless in the real world
no matter cuz they will sell enough of them to make some money :) and at the end of the day that what really matters, not the functionality, the sales! :)

I was showing this to a friend the other night, we were looking at cases in an Apple store. Neat idea.

^ not yet... they are cheap/free from any of the major phone providers no?

isnt it the trend..when the new one comes out.. the first gen of the 4 will be free if u get a 2/3 year plan from one of the major networks? At least that like here in Canada.

I think I would rather just have the case that has an M8 decal on it.
