The lens is worth maybe $180 and the flash another $250, so you got the 5D body for about $670 which is a good deal. I had the 24-85 mm years ago and it wasn't too shabby, but a better lens will make the 5D shine. I was able to pick up a Tamron 28-75mm for $270 and it was a big improvement.
