Hiya Julian. heh, no pre-order :P

if im gonna get d800 it wont be until around summer or winter.

first lens will be the 16-35

but we shall see... if i get a 5d2 i can also get the 16-35 ii or 70-200 ii

I think you got talent as a landscape shooter. Either system will work for you, ;)

Hell no!

Thirty-five is a good age. Old enough to get at least a modicum of respect, but young enough so that every thing works exactly as it should.

I think I'd go for somewhere around 25, but I'm a girl - I don't care how many say "40 is the new 30," etc., I know that under 30 seems to be "better" for being female...

I like to push buttons on thingies that take pictures. Sometimes I like to push other buttons, too.
I only bite on the second Tuesday of every week, usually only mean people - they kinda taste like chicken...

The D3x has crazy overexposure protection too (much like the D700). Its interesting to see these #s, because, while they are accurate, they do not tell the whole store of HOW that DR presents itself. In the D7000, its all shadows...in the D700 its split between the shadows and highlights...in the D800, I expect it to be predominately shadow information too.

People tell me me that 40 is the new 30. Okay, 75%. I can live with that.

That means that 280 is the new 210. Great! I'd love to be 210 lbs again!

Poor Pekka will really have to clean shop before he creates a Nikon section.

I'm just waiting for medical technology to catch up, then I'm going in for a full-body transplant.

I'm with you Roger, trouble is I need a new head as well! Plus a brain, it'd be no use using the old one, it is bloody hopeless.

If we're being realistic here, the circulatory system would fail long before the brain. I'd buy an extended warranty on the heart and take my chances on the brain
