Yeah, big mistake though. To be honest the ridiculous tax in NY of 8.625% is insane and what came from $400 went to $435 so I realized I am dumb and shouldn't have paid that much. Either way I need to return it. I don't like having a lens that doesn't even work properly.

You paid $400? You know it's less on amazon without tax, right?

Ouch. Luckily I can still order from NJ and be tax free yet receive my package in the same time as it would take if it shipped from NY (yes, I'm very impatient... although I think Jake-W is much worse).

 Luckily I'm returning it. Btw, I don't have a CC and my mom doesn't like me buying things to support my hobby.

So right... after I met up with my friend in NYC I spotted this guy wearing jeans I approve of. So I stopped him well.. asked him if his jeans were the brand I knew they were and turns out they were so basically I found out that this guy is an australian actor and was mad chill. My photo I think also got explored so I'm pretty happy about that :)

Go to the store, buy a prepaid Visa and use that to buy your lens from Amazon. :p

I would like to but it's not worth it cause I've come to my sense and realized I could save $50-$100 buying somewhere else plus the lens isn't working properly.

True, but I don't tend to think of these things, especially since I don't ever buy from Amazon (face palm).

add a few more $$ and wait for a $50 off coupon and you can get the sigma. price on the ef 50mm went back up again. w/a coupon for sigma, the sigma 50mm is just $50 more compare to canon's.

I've decided to just save up for the Canon 24-70L. I figured it's just my best bet.

Yeah, when it's on sale the Sigma 50 1.4 can be had for around $440.
