That 8.25% seems so measly in comparison!

Sales tax from one country to another isn't comparable at all..

No, tax-free sounds measly! 8.625% isn't 20% though.

It certainly is when you're buying items from a different country!! If I buy a $500 widget from NY at 8.25% then it costs me $541.25

If I buy that same $500 widget here at 13% it costs me $565

Okay, so sales tax in NH is 0%. That makes 8% tough. But as for the UK's VAT, it isn't as if the country has a weak economy. They just tax hard. 75% of petrol prices are basically fuel duty taxes. So people pay $10+ per gallon right now.

Back in 2002 I was talking to researchers and lawyers for a mega petro-chem company. They said oil would hit $150/barrel sooner rather than later. So be prepared to pay more for fuel!

I've decided to just save up for the Canon 24-70L. I figured it's just my best bet.

Awesome. You'll love it, very versatile. I can't wait to get a 24L II though. Come on Hawaii!! Ruined my 24L plans. Lol

In NY they're usually varying between hot and humid or cool and humid. I find it to usually be too humid usually.
