The 14-24 is great but, it's really costly. The 16-35 should be fine. :)

yeah, i've been fine with the 17-40 f4. so the 2.8 isnt really a must have, only a plus.

You're not very good at "connect the dots", I take it? How does one go from "I need a credit card" to "otherwise I'm banging all the chicks I can find"

Touché

Meh. I don't hear many good things about a 50G ;) an 85 1.4G is amazing though. But the price isn't pretty though.

If you're on a budget, it is cheaper than the 85L ;)

But to be honest I don't care what anyone says I would rather have the 85L over any 85 any day.

Bullcrap. You bought that Galaxy Note so you could order a bunch of these. You'll end up arrested for placing them in bathrooms and bedrooms across the country.

The 16-35 f4 has VR. So, it makes it up in that department. ;)

Yup! Exactly same for me.
You know whats funny? The dude I bought the 85L from on FM switched to Nikon and bought the 85 1.4G. He said its VERY close but not as good as 85L.
