Heads up (and space for photos when I go shoot them) but the only surviving flightworthy B-29 in the world, "Fifi" is leaving tomorrow at the Tico Airport in Titusville, Florida

If you are in the area it would behoove you to be here

between 9am and 11am tomorrow morning, er...today. Sorry for short notice I've been rather pre-occupied. I will be there (as I'm sure some others from POTN may be, I'm not the only Floridiot here) smack in the middle of the lowerst portion of Tico Rd., or Perimeter Rd., doing video and photo.

Change of plans at the last minute, paid the admission to get in the museum so I could get up close, plus I found out it was going INTO the wind, so I would have been obliterated by propwash at the original location. Worth my last 20 dollars.

All my practice panning freight trains has been paying off.

Looked like a very nice day with lots to shoot but you darn near froze the props in 2 out of 3, and ones in flight. Panning practice worked out though.

A skill is developed through constant practice with a passion to improve, not bought.

I was using my 70-200 f4L IS on the last two and the image stabilizer is malfunctioning so I opened up the aperture a bit to not completely freeze the prop but still get a sharp image.

The panning practice is definitely helping, I have been combing through the Sunday shots and many of them are decent.

Should have a video of the B29 in a bit, taking a while to upload.

ho hum, there is always next year when I should be over by that time

Wonder how many people said that about Liberty Belle through the year before she scorched the field? With airplanes like this, where there's only a single digit number left, that is the way wrong attitude to have. Can you predict the future? Always shoot what you can when you can do it (while you still can do it).

Every picture I have of Jimmy and the Galloping Ghost from Friday is stored on my hard drive - even the blurry ones - nobody will ever shoot that aircraft again and I'm keeping mine.

I would have been there in a heartbeat... if I wasnt 4000+ Miles away :(, next year i'll be a little over 25 miles away, then nothing will stop me visiting :)

I like your attitude sir, but sadly not all of us can be in all places and see all things but I take photography taking/storing seriously (but not in the professional approach).
