My dad sent me this and thought I'd share it here with you guys. I found it kinda funny yet annoying at the same time, but photography is just my hobby.
Hope this doesn't trigger any bad memories for you guys.

I don't know why people just don't get it, it must me so annoying to be a pro and have to deal with this crap.
I know my dad has heard most of these lines before.

I don't understand why photographers would expect people to just "get it".

There are plenty of professions out there that I know little of and, if I were to make assumptions about them, I would probably be wrong...

I have more of an issue or annoyance with guys or girls with cameras not "getting it" season after season. I understand if you are starting out and you may be still learning. They continue to produce blurry, out of focus, and underexposed shots year after year. Don't they know that if in a photo you can't even see the face of the person clearly, you know you suck and you need to work on few things. Somehow, such a realization didn't occur to them. Well, anyway.....:)

BreitlingFan, I understand the view you are coming from and that makes perfect sense.
I do feel that with the digital age and the ease of sharing info via facebook, txt msgs, and other forms, people forget that back in the day photographers rarely gave up the negatives.

I think people just feel like stuff should be handed over to them, with no thought of the time and effort that really goes into actually taking good photos.

I'm not a pro like I said, but a couple of our friends were over one night and was showing them some pics from a recent trip we had all taken together.
They both said "wow these are really good, have you ever thought about selling your photos?"
Then 5min later they said "could you email us some of these we'd love to decorate our rec room with them."

My wife thinks i'm wrong, but i was slightly annoyed by this.
