I picked up a used Camera Motion 24" slider off of ebay for $70. I found a couple of favorable reviews of it online so I figured at that price, why not give it a shot. It's not perfect but I'm pretty happy with the results for what it cost.

Almost all of it was with a 5d2 and 50mm 1.8. It was shot at 6400 and 3200 so it's a little noisy.

I thought the slider footage looked pretty good for $70. There were few instances where it could have been a little smoother, but other than that I like it.

That's a really nice video all round.

I like the way you dollied the camera using the slider rather than going for the infuriating slider sweep which people seem to insist on doing when they get a slider.

Loved the lighting, loved the angles, loved the editing, loved the story telling. Solid job all round.

Thanks.

And keep in mind this was my first time using a slider, ever. I also don't have the steadiest of hands. It can be smoother and will get smoother as I use it more over time.

Very nice! Shots look very smooth, I'm extremely impressed! I will definitely be looking around on ebay for the same thing...

Looks great for $70. I just built a 3 ft Aluminum ball bearing slider for around $175, I used machine parts and it works great. sometimes the carriage moves too easily so I added an adjustable brake for the carriage so I can control the resistance.
