I will be in Miami in one month. To take advantage of the Euro/$ exchange rate I plan to buy my 70-300 L then. Can anyone recommend a reputable shop / stockist in the area? Unfortunately I am there only for a few days so unable to do mail order.
I am told the Canon warranty is global and works fine. Anyone with any relevant experience? Many thanks.

Mail order in advance to your hotel is the best.
Also if you buy locally, don't forget to add 6% local tax to the price indicated.

I've never been there, but I've heard a lot of good stuff about them:

If you want to walk in a brick and mortar store Pitman Photo is definitely your best, if not really only, choice. They are a reputable business, and usually have quite a bit of inventory (although last time I was there they had a lot more Nikon), and I have purchased from them in the past.

You would definitely save more $ ordering online to your hotel as suggested above though.

I agree I used to live in Miami and Pittman is the place to go. Great knowledgeable sales folks and goo inventory. You can get better prices on-line. I also suggest you mention that. They have dropped prices for me before.
