Not sure what model year this one is, sometime in 50's I believe, but found it over at the UT Gardens. Also next to it was an old pump. Don't we all wish for the .56¢ prices again?

I can't say that I'm feeling a love for HDR in this one. I think I want to see more contrast in it. And I'd probably crop off about 20% of the right side.

Looking at the pump faceplate, I think the top dial is the price and the bottom is gallons, so even better, 33.6¢!
I guess the vintage to be '53-'54 ish.

33 cents?!

Heck, in the gas wars in LA in the late 60s I saw it at 19 cents. Mileage didn't even exist as a word. Nobody cared. You used up what was in the tank, you filled back up....that's all.
