Is anyone else noticing how incredible the mic is on the g1x? I purchased a zoom h1 to use for live sound over the g1x and honestly, the g1x has produced better sound every single time I've used both together. I am thinking of returning the zoom. Anyone have any reason why I should not?

I'm going to try these "Micro Windjammers" in an attempt to cut out wind noise, http://www.bhphotovideo.com …46_Micro_Windjammers.html (external link)

See my short video for an example of wind noise (even though it really wasn't that bad): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMsQBBVq7wI (external link)
The wind noise filter in the G1X was turned ON during that video.

Those things look funny, but I might give them a shot. Post a photo once you have them on your g1x so I can check it out please. Thanks

A little 'soul patch' action :) Not sure how you'd attach the one between the hot shoe and the mode dial tho.

you might want to check this thread out. This enhances the stereo sound quite nicely.

There is no mic input on the g1x
