Think it's a Field Sparrow, but I could be wrong

What a beautiful image. I believe that you have an American Tree Sparrow here. The bi-colored bill is a good field mark. Did you note a dark central spot on the breast?

Thanks Mark, First I thought its a Song Sparrow, but its not, than I tried to ID it by a site I usually go, called What Bird, but could not see this one. There was no dark spot on the chest area.

I assume you mean the Thames. :) I'm not surprised as they are quite common in southern Ontario during the winter months. It's probably my favourite sparrow to photograph this time of year.

You did an excellent job of isolating it from the perfect background.

Nice image and I agree its a an ATS...Field Sparrows have a pinkish beak with the upper beak being darker but still very orangy/pink. The legs and feat on the Field Sparrow are also quite pink.
