Sights/Day Trips around Hilton Head, SC

I'm headed down to HHI for a week and have only been there once and wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions of places either on or around the island that lend themselves to good photo opportunities.

Last time I did the standard, Harbour Town pier and lighthouse shots, made it out to a few beaches for sunrise and sunset and hit up the Sea Pines Nature Preserve (where by the way I saw not one living thing). The interesting thing is that the most animals i saw were from our house on a golf course (gators, pelicans, cranes, herons, osprey, etc).

Any suggestions up to ~1 hour away would be welcome

Savannah is about 45 minutes. Worth a 1/2 a day or so. Gotta admit most of our HHI trips have been by the pool or on the golf course.

Thanks, I'm flying out if there so I plan to spend the last day there.
