The Bufflehead hen has always been one of my favorite ducks. She reminds me of a little 'bathtub duckie'. Here she is giving me her 'demure' look.  Another favorite of mine is the Wood Duck hen. Her colors are very subtle, but very beautiful. Here she is perched up on shore and posing for the camera.  Thanks for taking the time to look in. -Harv-

nwyman Cream of the Crop  More info | how did you tranquilize them? I usually just see the tail end of a Wood Duck as it leaves, stage right. And the buffs around here are careful to stay just out of range. EOS 6D, SX50HS, Tamron 150-600

The Wood Duck hen is lovely too, but without the grace of the first I think. But both are equally wonderful shots.
