I went from 40D to 7D and it was quite a lot to digest AF wise. Looking over the manual though I am pretty ramped up already on the 5D now. You are REALLY going to like all the new AF controls with servo mode. Has made a huge difference in my soccer and BIF shots with the 7D. For example, the 24-70L only gets 1 dual cross type point instead of all 5 even though it has a f2.8 aperture...
