Strange Phenomena

Non edited and bizarre. Just thought I would share. My cousin took this with a point and shoot.

Heat waves?

I guess. The waves have a shorter period to the left of the image. It's just plain weird.

What was the temp?

polished aluminum siding or something?

I was thinking that it was a photo taken of a reflection through a mirror but then I realized that the numbers aren't backwards. Definitely weird.

Was that affect just for that one shot? Seems like there's something mixed up inside the camera. Not too many places hotter than where I shoot in the summer and I've never seen heat waves cause something like this over the entire frame. Yep...wierd.

My money is on it was opened in Windows 8.

I played football on that same field for years. There are no aluminum buildings or anything else to reflect off for this shot. This is simply a track and field kid taking a picture of a group of track and field kids. It was a fairly hot day ~ upper 80's. He only took the 1 picture.
