Finally a half decent shot of a Red Bellied Woodpecker! Every other time there were obstructions, etc so I was happy to get this opportunity for a clean shot. Hope you enjoy them. :)

Excellent series, Jason. Since I saw my first woodpecker the other day I understand how hard they are to get good photographs of. You did really well here. The first especially is great.

Great shots--#1 and #2 are especially impressive. I chased one of these guys around this morning and didn't get anything near this good. Congrats!

Quite the beauty of a male Red-bellied Jason.
As others have said the first 2 images are excellent. I will have to say that the first image must have been captured during a wind gust, but it makes him look a lot like the "Don King" of Red-bellieds. Hey, if I didn't say it someone else would -:)
