So, I don't too often bring my camera to work, I know I should, though not always convenient but... I was able to get a few shots the other day I wanted to share. The first taken with a 17-55 and the last three taken with a 70-200 f4 all from inside another UH-60. Was practicing 'prop blur' on helicopters. A little bit of a challenge from another helicopter thats shaking and vibrating, to play around with slow shutter speeds to capture a slow moving rotor.

I know I have some halo on the first shot. I over corrected trying to tone down the over exposure on the outside part. Not really sure of a better way I could have done that. Didn't have a flash with me. Oh well, still thought it would be neat to share. Thanks!

Nice series. I wish I was more into photography when I was in the military.

Choppers are hard to get anywhere near a disc going, especially when they have large rotors & 4 of em...

=You'll need around 1/60 to 1/80th to get near a partial disc, its all about rotor speed ,...more is better...full disc ..very hard

Hard enough on small RC Choppers

Are you shooting in RAW? That would give you a little more latitude to play with.
It's not a bad shot, but ask yourself this, "What's more important? The guy in the door, or the chopper outside?" ;)

I enjoy #1 as is. It makes me think a bit. Sometimes it's nice for the viewer to have the option to choose what he/she feels the subject is.

Thanks for sharing

Those are fantastic! A unique perspective most of us will never get to see.

Really like that last shot, looks like he's sitting on a ridge, just waiting for a call.
