Nice shots. I've noticed that wide range on my local resident Annas. Sometimes the head is black, but in the sun it can be neon pink or ruby red. Strange little dudes.

Rex, I love that you photograph these hummers with available light. Plus they make your results all the more impressive. And I love the natural look of the images that to my eye seem to have so much more depth than the flashed ones. A lot of words to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this set. Great work!

Great set Rex,and that's the same light we get all Winter long. Just add bucket loads of rain to it.

This is one I've heard of coming to my area occasionally, but have never laid eyes on one personally. Maybe one day.....
