Or you could get rid of that junky 14/2.8 :D

Hehe, I love that junk! The 14L is very cool and has one thing on the Zeiss: better mfd. At the moment I have a D800 on order, so the plan be selling the 14L and the TSE-24mm to get the Nikon 14-24mm and the 24mm PC-E.

Agreed. Inability to mount the Lee system on this is a deal breaker for me. I suppose I could handhold a GND but that's just a hassle. I guess I'll stick with my 17-40 and save myself $3K...

Just means that I'll have to stick with the Zeiss 18mm and 21mm ;) When I get around to buying one of them that is. I was thinking that the 15mm might have been my first, but I have to be able to put the Lee system on a lens.

Julian, did you just snatched up all the 95mm adapter rings? It is not available online anymore. ;)

It looks like there is no way to attach it to the Lee filter system without sawing out the two metal hood pieces.

Hehe! Yup! I got all of them.;) That's kind of a downer that a Lee filter holder can't be attached.

So that hood doesn't come off? :(

Fail.

I know. Zeiss could have engineered it to come off.

Meh, I'd get a 17 TSE over this and save $1000

The price is kind of hard to stomach. It may go down, but not much. Honestly, the USD isn't helping. Zeiss 21 released at the price point near what used ones are selling for now. New they are 1843!

This lens is huge and expensive and will probably sell well.

I'll enjoy my CV 15 on my new system.

WOW!! for that price you can get a Zeiss 21 2.8, a Samyang 14 2.8 and pocket like $800.

When I first saw this I was very excited. The price is steep but the inability to use a filter holder would be the "big stopper" in me purchasing this lens. I would love to have a Zeiss at this focal length if it performed like the 21mm does.

Very interesting. I have no use for one, but it's good to see UWA competition is still alive and well.

$2900 seems pretty steep but I suspect it's a factor of the USD.

I think I'm going to get one... Not totally sold but the lack of filters is not the issue for me, the price is. But still, this is going to be an epic lens.

jd--when you get this, do a comparison at 15 2.8 between this and our Nikon zoom. Would love to see some comparison shots.
