Seems like all the nice UWA lenses require either expensive adapters (SW150 & Lucroit) or a homemade hack.

Would love to see some comparison shots. I will down the road. It's not a priority lens atm untill I get my D800 first.

The ZE 2/28 is an interesting lens to play with... I bought one for pure nostalgia' sake and it's a fine lens although the field curvature needs to be mastered. Several cameras and more glass than I will admit to.

The filter size of this Zeiss 15mm f/2.8 is 95mm, but with the width of the built-in hood taken into consideration, it might possibly make the actual front diameter (including the hood) close to 98mm as well. Photographers do it in 1/1,000th of a second...but the memory lasts forever!

You may have read that the 2/25 seems to be a little longer than 25mm so maybe it's fine to slot in that gap too.

I would pre-order one now if it weren't for the high price. I wish it were priced like the rest of the Zeiss lenses. Therefore, could it be possible that the adapter ring/system made specifically for the Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 by Lee for their filter holder system, would fit on the Zeiss 15mm f/2.8? It may not be a perfectly snug fit, but it could be close enough. Just thinking out loud. It depends on the diameter of the Zeiss hood, not filter thread. If the diameter is less than the Nikon hood diameter, it should be eiter fit straight on or fit with a small modification. All depends if the Zeiss hood is smaller than Nikon. 5D Mark II | 7D
