I just had to go out yesterday because it was the first time the sun came out for like 2 years (I'm exaggerating). By the time I arrived in this location cloud rolled in, and after about 15 minutes, it rained! I arrived in the scene with 3 fellow birder (one using 1D4 and a very BIG lens ). It was very exciting for me to see the eagles mate and I am really hoping that they will be successful in raising chicks this year.

My apologies for putting too many pics here, I wanted to share the different pics when the male flew on top of the female.

I don't know if eagles remember their kids but a gentleman told me that couple of years ago they raised 2 chicks and some birders were able to take pics of the 1st chick that attempted to fly. Man that would be awesome if I can experience that too!

Thanks NoA, indeed rare (at least to me) and really a wonderful think to see. They make some loud noises before doing it :D
