Curious as to which combo you'd find more useful shooting weddings.

Thanks.

You need to be wider than 35mm some of the time so I'd go with the 24-70 on the 5D.

But I'm pretty sure these lenses are interchangable so no need to feel married to one set up. ;)

The combo I'd find most useful is this:

5D Mk II (or III) + 70-200 2.8 IS Mk II & 5D Mk II (or III) + 24-70 2.8 Mk II

But in your case, put the 70-200 on the 20D. Extra reach could be nice and 24mm on crop isn't that wide.

Yeah, figured the 24-70 would work better on the 5D. If I needed wider I could go with the ef10-22 on the 20D and stick the 70-200 on the 5D.

Yeah, while a couple of 5D MkIII's would be very nice, it's probably not gonna happen in the near future.;)

Would picking up an EF-S 17-55 be out of the question? It would be a bit more versatile than the 24-70 on the cropper and then the 70-200 on the 5D would be a bit more usable in more situations other than losing some reach. That's how I am setup. I use a 40D with 17-55 and 5DII with 70-200 for weddings.

Not out of reach, but I probably need to upgrade the 20D first, although I still love it. I can stick the 10-22 on the 20D and the 70-200 on the 5D and cover a nice range too.

Yeah, I have a 20D as well but it's my backup to my 40D and doesn't really get used. That tiny screen is quite annoying these days. To think how awesome it was when new lol.

Totally agree about the screen. Still, it's an awesome camera in a lot of respects.

OOPS! I just clicked the wrong answer! Please disregard my vote (should have clicked the 2nd choice!)

AGREE 100% (except I don't have the MKII lenses and/or the MKIII bodies, so mine would have to do :) )
