Agree, the more and more everyday people post images it shows me the true real world capability of this body.

I much prefer these to test shots!

I thought they handed the Pre-release bodies to pro's, but the examples that were sent out were mostly crap.

I used the have the 5DM2 with the 24-70 2.8, which was a very heavy couple

i can notice from most of your signatures that you guys have the 24-105

would it be interesting and relevant to trade the 24-70 for a 24-105 when i'll get my 5DM3 or should i keep my 24-70 anyway ?

Only you can make that decision. How often do you need f/2.8? The 24-105 is a pretty versatile lens...it's reasonably lightweight for a walk-around lens, and it has IS, which is very handy for video.

Another thing to keep in mind: Although the new 24-70L II is quite expensive, it is 150g lighter than the version I.

24-105 = 670g
24-70I = 950g
24-70II = 805g

12800, 1/20th, f/1.4....

IMAGE: http://www.benjacobsenphoto.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Canon-EOS-5D-Mark-III-BJP_0795.jpg

yes, the AF hunted a bit and really needed a brighter image on the screen to see enough detail to lock on, and it ONLY worked with the 5 center double cross points, but daaaaaaamn was it dark, and to get a shot that looks that decent?

Anyone having any issues with LIveView zoomed, manual focusing? There's some threads popping up in various places, claiming issues with poor MF capabilities, when zoomed in, in LiveView on both the 5D3 and the D800.

LiveView focusing is a critical item for me, so I'm curious if this is truly a problem or not?

I haven't read the thread, but I've shot MF using live view through a 10 ND filter with no issues.

If Adobe does what it usually does... then no, LR3 is no longer "updated" now that LR4 has already gone live. Had LR4 still be in "beta", then LR3 most likely would've gotten the update.
