As far as I know, you need the Adobe DNG converter.

And then you can supposedly use the DNGs in Aperture 3 without needing to use PS or LR.

Are you referring to this Nick?

If so, not yet. This Saturday man...this Saturday.
I'll certainly report back although some of the sports actions shots are far more telling with regards to the AF system. In other words, it looks very encouraging so far!

All I can take are B.S. photos around the house, you know, with the baby and stuff. :)

Yup was referring to you. Cool let me know how it goes. Very keen to hear your opinion using the 5d3 on a wedding day.

Cheers

Not sure if this link has been posted. Adobe confirmed (external link) that an LR4 update is coming this week and that the 5D mk iii will be supported.

here's a weird one, maybe it needs to go in the firmware suggestion thread... but yeah.

have 2 cards in the camera.
Set it up to record to CF.
pop out the CF card for whatever reason and close the door.

the camera will switch to the SD because it's all it sees. Even if you put the CF back in before shooting, it still shoots to the SD... And then the replays only come from the card you're shooting from. So once it's switched and you shoot, you can't replay from the other card. Not really an error, but it just caught me shooting to my SD card, then when I realized and switched back to the CF it wouldn't replay the shots from the SD card...

Adobe does give people who recently purchased LR3 a small window to upgrade to LR4, for free.

I've had LR3 for awhile now so I'm out.

Adobe are in the business of making money, and it seems they make a lot of it. How much does the upgrade cost?

There are custom settings that you can specify which card your camera replays from. But yes, once you take one out and try to review images or start shooting, it defaults to the card that's in there.

upgrade to LR4 was so cheap. Under 100 bucks here in Aus. Do it :) So much better than LR3.
