Just in case you're looking for a cheap back up battery, I just got a MaximalPower one and it registered as well as reported shots and usage fine with the 5d3.

Ok now back to our regular programming of awesome pictures sharing :)

I have that exact one and when i turn on the camera, it'll flash that that battery is empty. After taking a shot, it'll show it's normal battery life. Weird.

That is wierd...I have not taken many pics with it yet but for a few shots, it seems to be fine (for now)

Anyone else getting sick of the 5Diii snipers on this forum lately?.... I'm yet to see anyone who actually owns one complain about it.

Anyone here unhappy they got one? wished for something different?..

I F****ing LOVE MINE!!

I am happy with the 60D.

Looks like to join the hallowed ranks, I need to invest in a dog...

Or at least a cat...:p (I am allergic to them...).:(

So... I'll stick to the 60D...

Yes indeed. I used the spot AF point for that shot for the additional accuracy.

I'd love to see some examples of the 85L being used in servo mode on your dog at or near wide open. As a pet photographer, I imagine this camera allowing me to capture more dynamic images even at low f-numbers without fear of missing focus. I can't wait to try one out (however long that may be).

Not a dog, but I shot this at f/1.4 with the 85L, ISO 100, M mode, AI Servo mode, and some crazy high shutter speed (I don't feel like pulling out the RAW to check exactly :p ) Out of the entire shoot (500 pictures of the same sort of shot - horses moving) I honestly had maybe 10 OOF shots. I was SHOCKED at it's reliability - and I was standing far away too. This is cropped quite a bit (from 22mp to roughly 8mp)

Does anyone have the 16-35 L II and if so, any images taken with it on the MKIII?

Will be goin out to the park later and test it out some more
