Just in case you're looking for a cheap back up battery, I just got a MaximalPower one and it registered as well as reported shots and usage fine with the 5d3.
Ok now back to our regular programming of awesome pictures sharing

) Out of the entire shoot (500 pictures of the same sort of shot - horses moving) I honestly had maybe 10 OOF shots. I was SHOCKED at it's reliability - and I was standing far away too. This is cropped quite a bit (from 22mp to roughly 8mp)
