I got a new bird feeder the other day. Set it up and filled it with bird seed....

QUOTED IMAGE

Squirrels love it! :)

The 5D3 continues to amaze me. 840 mm, f/11, 1/200, ISO 6400 (cloudy evening). These shots clean up great.

840mm = zoom + extender ?

beautiful shot

Is there a button shortcut you can use or setup to format the flash cards? I'm looking for something similar to what Nikon does with pressing "Mode" and the trash can button simultaneously (twice) which formats your card.

i have it set up in my favorites menu. Then when i leave the settings i leave it on that page so when i want to format i just open it up and within 2 clicks I'm done:)

I haven't seen anything like that... what I do is create "My Menu" items (the last menu on the list) and put my most frequently used menu items like:

Format
Card Record Mode (or whatever its called)
Time/Date (for syncing multiple cameras)
Battery Info
Sensor Cleaning

and a couple others...

So I basically only have my menu on that custom menu for the most part and it has pretty much everything I use on a regular basis in one menu.

For me it was the other way around. I bought a new birding lens, then realised that I would really like an AF system to match it. Not that I wasn't getting sharp pictures with the 5D2, but BIF?...that was rather hit and miss as it's very hard to keep that centre point on target all the time.

Now I just need the time to go use them together!

Growing old disgracefully!

Shot these during the most ungodly hour for photos. :) In camera HDR test run. Colors look dull since I was shooting in RAW neutral picture style.

Thanks! 300/2.8 + Canon 2x Mk III + 1.4x Kenko teleconverter. The Kenko is non-reporting and thus allows autofocus with the f/8 lens combo.
