Shot these during the most ungodly hour for photos. :) In camera HDR test run. Colors look dull since I was shooting in RAW neutral picture style.

Am I right in thinking you still cannot record Raws to one card, and JPG to the other card? I cannot seem to set it up that way.

Photographic Images on Brett Butler (external link) px500 (external link) & Flickr (external link) Some Canon Bodies , few blackish lenses, A dam heavy black one, couple dirty white ones, a 3 legged walking stick, a mono walking stick, and a bag full of rubbish

you can do this, see page 116 and 119 of manual.

need to set camera to rec separately menu -> setup1->record func+ card..etc->record func,

then menu->shoot one page-> image quality

and set quality for each card.

For me it was the other way around. I bought a new birding lens, then realised that I would really like an AF system to match it. Not that I wasn't getting sharp pictures with the 5D2, but BIF?...that was rather hit and miss as it's very hard to keep that centre point on target all the time.

Now I just need the time to go use them together!

Which are you currently using?

I was using the Nikkor 70-200 with a 2x TC on my D800 but the TC isn't the greatest for birding. I have put it up for sale on FredMiranda.com and now want a dedicated birding lens for the 5D3.

I bought an EF 600 f4 IS...it's a real beast of a thing to cart around, but it makes great pics. As I said...work has been full on lately and I haven't had much chance to use it.

Caught this Spoonbill trying to swallow a flounder last weekend! (About 80% crop...there was a lot of water!)
