I will look into that bag as well.

Thanks!

the only caveat i have is to not expect to jam all that stuff in w/ inserts...it's a big jumble in there...i am not worried about cosmetic blemishes, but some others might be.

it was a great deal, too...$50 from a sports store on special. i've had it for about 5 years now and it sees a TON of use.

I have the large Tenba messenger and I've found the best way is to have the 70-200 attached to the camera, that way it bulges a bit less and the body is up a bit higher and out of the way of the lenses on either side of it.

i don't think the 5D3 is all that much different dimensionally from the 5D or 5D2...i use a timbuk2 messenger bag for carting all my stuff, and routinely squeezed in two gripped bodies and 3-5 lenses. i could put in a flash in a pinch too.

Can you post up pics of the bags? Very interested in a messenger bag as well as my backpack is loaded with gear, thinking of getting a bag to fit the gripped 5d3, extra lens, and a 580exII.

it may just be a mind game, but it seems that the 5D3 shoots a little under exposed often?

anyone else seeing results like this?

every photo i have taken and processed through LR4, i have most def had to bump the exposure up by +1EV almost...

just curious, like i said it could be just a loose nut behind the steering wheel...

but coming from a 5D2, i don't recall having to process the files in the manner...

thanks!

-Aaron

Are you checking the histogram? I find that depending on the sceene I may need a little bit of +EC when in Av mode, sometimes not..This is in order for me to snug the right point of the histogram up against the right. THis will usually give me a nicely exposed image. I guess the only way to see if the mk3 is exposing different than the mk2 would be to shoot the same shot at the exact same time with the two cameras side by side, maybe both in Av mode and ISO 100 and compare the shutter speeds they choose. Hmmm, I would love it is someone could do that! (Or anything a bit more scientific if pos.)

My first attempt at some long exposure work.
This image is a composite of two images (I cheated!) - the bottom half showing the fishermens/sea was about a 20 second exposure, the top half/sky was about two minutes..

I have a Think Tank Retro 20 and really like it. When I pack it for use, I'll have either the 5d3 or 1d3. I can have either one mounted on 70-200 with hood reversed in middle and 24-70 or 105 on one side and a flash/lens on the other. When I have it set up for throw in truck use...its 5d3 with 24-70 with hood mounted in the middle with 70-200 with hood reversed on one side and gorillapod focus and ball head on the other side, flash in the front pocket, and a kenko 1.4 resting under the camera. IT is amazing what will fit in the bag....

I bought it for the depth for a 70-200 and it will fit a gripped body.

HERE is a thread I had going when I was looking for bag...it may help ya out.

Tunin...I am liking the falls shot!

Light was great when I left home, however on location the light dulled down quite a bit.
So I did some pp to get some flavour back in there.
