How are you finding the AF speed of the 85L on the 5D3? Improved over other bodies? Any other action shots like this? I am considering this lens. While I would be using it for portraits more than sports, I would like the AF speed to be able to keep up with a moving toddler.

I only use 85L @ 5D2 AND 5D3, which I don't feel that 85L's AF speed is much different.
85L is my walk around lens, and I just learn to use for low light sport now.
Catch toddler shouldn't be a problem, as newworld666 uses 85L for racing photography.

I recently got the 85L f1.2 lens and I love it. Has to be 1 of my top 2 lenses. I have only used it on my old T1i for a little bit and then my 5D M3 so comparing anything between the two bodies would be silly. The only knock I can think of on this lens is its odd bulky shape. With the lens hood on its actually tricky to handle and I am always afraid I am going to lose my grip and drop the lens. Knowing this, I always pay strick attention when adding or removing this lens from my camera. Other then that and the $, its a fantastic lens.

I'm using a Lexar Professional 400x 64gb SD card - but at the moment I'm just using it for RAW overflow from my CF card (Sandisk Extreme Pro 600x)

Has everyone seen the new Canon 40mm 2.8 lens? I thought it was a extender when I first saw it.

I imagine it will become very popular. There was a presale somewhere for <$200.

Thanks! If by brenizer, you mean stitching multiple photos with shallow DOF... then no. (Don't even know how to do it...)

Its just a shot with the 135L wide open with the focus on the players plus my usual PP in LR4. Removed the top and bottom portions of the pic to add the borders for a cinematic look.

Thanks!

thanks man!
