I just took about a hundred various shots in my backyard, house, etc... The detail on the 5D3 is just as good as the 5D2 was, if not better. Def no reduced IQ, and I shot the 5D2 for close to a year.

RAW noise looks really good in CS5... Very clean, grainy noise. No weird blotches or anything. Can't wait for a LR4 to have the ability.

In camera HDR is awesome.

Build is really, really good.

AF was able to lock on a target in a dark closet that I could not make out ANY detail through the viewfinder... It was that dark. Locked on and perfectly sharp.

I have NO problem using up to ISO 25,600, it looks really good. I would even use 51,200 if I needed to... But 102,400 is really terrible and avoid at all costs.

Make sure to turn off ALL in camera NR for best results.

FPS does not slow down for me until the buffer fills up... 13 pictures are 6FPS constantly until it slows down with a 400x CF card.

No word on servo yet, my dogs are not cooperating today... Too hot for my husky outside.

Loving this camera so far...

Pictures please..

It calls for E11. I don't think it'll work.

I don't remember who started it. A new camera calls for duck pix. Here is one.

Direct raw conversion, no PP at all.

Nope, you have to get the new BG-E11 $349 at B&H and expected to be released sometime in April (that was the latest I read anyways). I have one on pre-order, that and a RRS L bracket; once I get those my kit is complete:D

Here is one example... I will get some more when I get time.. Just got home from class.

(might of lost some detail by uploading to photobucket) but full image and crop.

Honestly, the IQ is just as good as 5D2 or better like I said (def better at high ISO). The smeared crap all over the web, who knows how that happened... Too much camera NR I guess... I shut mine off, no need for it.

I do have 1 "gripe" but it is only cause I am not used to it yet... The "ISO" button on the top is more recessed, which I guess is good to give it a different feel, but it gets lost with my huge hands. Prob get used to it real fast though.

For some reason, the AF-ON button seems more ergonomically comfortable then the 5D2 and 7D... How my hand falls on the camera it is more comfortable there then assigning * to AF... I will have to switch it back to default.

I got mine yesterday and spent some time setting up all my custom functions. Planning to test it out this weekend.

Here is a eyelash photo with my dog (like I said, he was being anti-camera today, so I took what I could).

Mind you, with a 24-105L wide open. So it would be even better with primes or better IQ lens. SOOC JPEG.

And indoors at ISO 6400... SOOC JPEG... Look at the detail in the hairs...

I just took this right now... 70-200 II + 1.4x TC... ISO 3200... Light is getting dim, AF had no trouble at all nailing focus (although on the wing of this bird, not his/her head!)

Here is photo and crop... For the birders out there! Sadly, only sparrows at our feeders now...
