this is a shot i just took, hand held, using the HDR setting on my new camera. i set it to bracket 3 images, +/- 3 EV.

now, as i said hand held, but a decent shutter speed(1/200th/sec), to ensure sharpness, but there's no way i can hand hold it perfectly still for 3 shots.

and that's where the camera does its thing and aligns the images for me. this is what it produces, the three shots all in one,and only as a jpeg:

@ Todd Lambert ...LOVE the lighting in the clouds! One of my favorites from you lately.

@ Mondayshift...you are an absolute magician with your processing. Seriously, we all go out to take a pretty picture of a flower, but you turn it into a true work of art. Always looking forward to your next Max.

Flying high again....

My very first loon that I've ever seen :D Lucky I had the 100-400 with me. These guys keep diving underwater every 5-8 seconds, and can resurface MUCH farther away down the lake.

There is something unusual about the way his skin looks, and I love it. It gives the picture a poster kind of look. Did you play around with clarity, masking, sharpening etc.?
