Some more from Silver City. This is an old church abandoned for about 10 years.

This is the all that remains of the ghost town of Silver City, TX.

Silver was founded as a ranching settlement in 1870 and became a town when the first post office opened 10 years later. The town was not much of a town with only 30 residents through 1910 when a nearby oil boom put the town on the map. The population exploded to over 1000 residents and many new buildings were built including a large school.

By 1930, the oil boom had gone bust and the town quickly started to die with less than 30 residents again by the 2000 census. Today, there is not much left of the town except for the original school building and a newer church that seems to have been abandoned about 10 years ago.

Max, these days I wake up every morning looking forward to new pictures from you. The Flickr app on my galaxy note helps me in that ;)
I love the way you play with blue and orange.

This one is really a great picture of what I assume was an ordinary flower (that was before you clicked its picture and made it popular :) ).

This building is bonkers - every wall, every brick, every window, even exterior lights and camera have the words of Thomas More’s 16th century work Utopia on it.

Yeah no problem I have my eyes on the 85 1.8 for a while but also have the 85 1.2 but we'll see how my work flow goes. Looking at the second shot, you should've done some off camera work and get that look that you see in magazines.

Testing my new 135mm f/2 L. Added a +2 MA after this shot, which is a bit front focused.
