And how did you find out it was dead... did you poke the croc or made the kid do it to check if it was dead? If it was the latter, then we are back on the topic!! :D:D

Boooo...

All that excitement over a dead croc.

(Were you certain that it was dead? :D)

Thought about not saying anything but gave in at the end. yes certain. Bullet hole in head was a give away hint.

Believe it or not, 1 redneck came by and said he was going home to get his truck and he planned on eating it. He didnt know how long it had been their dead but figured it wasnt that long. His wife was trying to talk him out of it when I left.

Haha... well, they say frogs taste like chicken. So if crocs taste anything like frogs... then it'll probably taste kind of like chicken too.

I'm amazed by the resilience of these prehistoric suckers.

So, I ordered the camera. Now, to ease the anxiety, all I can do is look at this thread. The more I look at this thread, the more I want the camera!

I'm sure its a style thing, but if my 5DIII made images that looked like they were pulled from the developer with muddy shadows and highlights I'd send it to CPS for repair or recalibration. :-)

wow. Mondayshifts photos to me are truly amazing, but i guess what one likes another doesn't.
But regardless Mondayshift keep up the great work. You have major support here.

Yes, but I don't think that our friend Max will mind someone taking a swipe every now and then...with that amount of talent the man will probably just smile and move on.

That really cracked me up!

Apparently, the REAL way you check if a croc is alive or dead is to put your ear very close to their mouth and listen for their breathing...this is said to be foolproof as crocs are noisy breathers.

That is awesome...reminds me of a little time I spent in Kentucky. This dude stopped on the side of the road and pulled out a pocket knife and chopped up a dead dear that he said felt "warm enough". He sent me to the store for a couple Styrofoam coolers and ice to put it on while we were at work for the day!

No doubt, that is just part of being creative. Everyone has a swing and a miss, some just more than others.

Here are two different ways in the south on how we determine if a Gator is dead or alive. Its foolproof!

Wow, nice insult

I was thinking that it was a comment about differences in style.

But then again some people do have a cynical view of the world. ;-)a

I guess tongue-in-cheek humor doesn't go over here.

I started doing commercial photography about 1969, so yea, I've done my share of darkroom work.

That's one of the things that I find interesting rooming through the photography fora, all the post processing techniques people come up with to emulate looks that would be thrown in the trash bucket in a wet darkroom.

Everyone has an aesthetic, whatever kind of artist. The fact that some like it while other question it is what makes going to museums fun. And perusing the fora.
