I love the grid too! It really helps with handheld shots and quicker comp on tripod.

At one of the biggest retailers I am # 140 on the waiting list and I pre-ordered the same day 5D3 was announced so I can only imagine how many is on the wating list now. But the good thing is that in their first shipment they got 70 cameras so hopefully the next shipment will include mine. With this kind of numbers in a small country like Denmark I can only imagine how many is waiting in bigger countries. Darn Tommy.. Didn't even order mine until two weeks ago. Well, it will be n my hands eventually Canon EOS 5D III

For kicks I went to large jpg and I stopped at 74 photos... So I guess that 16 is good enough for me, that's almost three full seconds at 6 fps. 90% of what I do is landscape anyway. Also I used just a 8GB Class 10 PNY SD card and could only get 10 RAW photos taken before the buffer was full, and it took a while to clear... 5DMKIII | EOS M | 14mm f/2.8 Rokinon | 15mm f/2.8 fisheye | 16-35mm f/4 L | 24-105mm L | 50mm f/1.4 USM | 100mm Macro f/2.8 L IS | 580ex II | Benro C2980F Veratile legs w/ Manfrotto 468MGRC2 Head | www.alaskanphotographs.com

Well, I'd stick with CF for RAW burst. My plan is to use CF for RAW and video and SD (class 10) for Jpegs. You actually see what you're shooting. Also the grid works out very well for composition. snakedoc wrote in post #14156754 I rented one for the weekend. The viewfinder is MUCH better than the 5DII's. 100% coverage now, so what you see is what you shoot. Thanks. I'm surprised it's that much better! Coming from an XT->50D->5DII I was pretty happy with the Mark II's viewfinder. Anthony | Flickr

Mar 26, 2012 14:40 | #1417 I gotta say, I absolutely love this camera compared to my 7D. Though bokeh is a term which generally use when describing a lens, I honestly feel it looks so much better on the 5DIII. Seems to be a bit more vivid and more of a creamier (if that is even a word) look to it. (Just noticed the lines in the pic, but that was from a fence in the background. Phew) Christian

Raws are 25-36MB, about 25-30MB when DNG format. About 10-15MB when Lossy DNG (which shows no loss in quality, even at 1:1). 5D III, 24-105mm f/4 L, 135mm f/2 L, 70-200mm f/4 IS L, 580EX II
