As I have been using a dare I say it P/S for sometime now( fuji S100Fs)
which has reasonable macro settings its time to step forward
thinking of a 7D with two lenses one for macro, one for birding
have pegged the 400m for birding. but now the macro
canon 65 mpe is too much a specialised lens for me
have been thinking a sigma 105 or 150
are there others I should concider either Canon or sigma
any info very much appreciated and a sample or two
would be outstanding.
cheers Rick

The canon EF 100mm macro and EF-S 60mm macro both get great reviews and are worth looking into as well.

Have you thought about a Zeiss Makro-Planar T* 100mm f/2 ZE? It has a way higher IQ then the Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

Ahh..sweet but does the OP want a MF lens? Secondly, it isn't a "real" macro; only 1:2 instead of 1:1.

Sigma 150. If you're doing tripod mounted shooting, you can probably opt for the non OS variant and save yourself some money.

....the best camera is the one you have on you at the time.
