According to that guy's tests, up to first 100 pops or so both Powerex 2700 and eneloop's recycle time is about the same. Longer it goes, however, Powerex 2700 can sustain the recycle time a whole lot better than eneloop.

Well I would have quote you by name how ever I don't know it = P

Yup, that's a literal translation... When I was a kid, people used to make fun of me often by saying, "hey 수영, let's go 수영!" :D

I'll take twenty flash pictures one day and it may be a month before the flash gets used again. So in my case, eneloop batteries are better for me.

Exactly. I've been trying to point out that whenever someone's looking for the "best battery," it really depends on one's shooting needs. There's no point for professionals, for example, to stock their flash units with eneloops. Shoot 200 flash pops in an event and go back a week later in another event to shoot with whatever remaining juice? It's better that they recharge before each shoot and take the most powerful with them. For casual, non-professional and intermittent use, on the other hand, eneloops are great.

Which is why I'm looking to stocking up on some powerex = )

Eneloop all the way. No question at all. My Eneloop XXs are currently part way through 12 month evaluation so the jury's out on them but the white Eneloop 2000mAh are superb. Certainly beware anything which 'claims' >2700mAh - it's the bigger/better/faster marketing game and really pushing the bounds of current technology. Unless you're using your cells all the time, low self-discharge more than makes up for a higher rating which has leaked away much of the 'extra' stored energy in the first week or so after charging.

Probably the kindest thing to be said about Uniross is that they have achieved very high market penetration in the UK. Set against that is that the best of them almost reach mediocrity, I wouldn't thank you for a lorry full personally. We had to use them at College when I was lecturing and they were nothing but a total nuisance - low initial rating, poor power retention, perpetually failing on-the-job. But they were all we were allowed (educational buying politics & policies, etc., etc....).

Phil ǁ Kershaw Soho Reflex: 4¼" Ross Xpres, 6½" Aldis, Super XX/ABC Pyro in 24 DDS, HP3/Meritol Metol in RFH, Johnson 'Scales' brand flash powder. Kodak Duo Six-20/Verichrome Pan. Other odd bits over the decades, simply to get the job done - not merely to polish and brag about cos I'm too mean to buy the polish!

I just bought a bunch of 600EX flashes that came with batteries claiming to be 3100mAh.

I noticed they were very light so I tested them in my charger and they measured at most 1300mAh. I can't believe they were so far off the stated capacity.
