It's been a while that I haven't taken any pictures. Share it with you, to see if there's any problem with my photo.

Thank you, and you are right. English is not my first language. The light is coming from a equipment called "Light Feeler", It's an LED light. Shutter speed 1/60 second. The value of aperture is f/7.1. Nikon's lens 50-200. And a product from china - Xpro close-up lens.

XPRO close-up lens is a kind of filter. Cheap but with really good effect.

It is a cool snail. The detail in the shell is nice.

Please don't be insulted but, it seems English is not your first language. So I will try and be clear, and not use abbreviations.

The photo seems to have a heavy vignette? Some people add vignettes themselves, but here it seems to me like light fall off from a flash. I'm not certain though.

I am not a macro expert, but you "may" have gotten a little too close to your subject. But I could be wrong.

Can you share details how you got the image? Shutter speed, aperture, what lens, how close you were, whether or not you used a flash and if so the settings on the flash. Any info will help us help you, and the Macro experts. It may help others, to help you, if you introduced yourself. Some people here are shy of newcomers.

Really cool detail on the shell. The main problem I see is the white surface to the left, it's distracting and gives away the fact that it's not a natural setting. Just crop it out.

The other thing is it looks like you used two flashes without a diffuser. I want to look at the shell, but the uneven lighting and hard shadows make it difficult.

But still a pretty good shot.

Thank you for your advice. It's taken inside. You pointed out things that I should have taken care. Thank you. I'll do better.

Using diffusers maybe a better way to show details.

Burtsun, welcome to POTN!

I'd agree that your shot could use "fine tuning" of the light, but in a night shot like this, well, that won't be so simple! There are a few possibilities -- for example the use of a reflector can take light from your flash and bounce it back onto the subject from a different angle, and that could make a lot of difference, maybe a reflector at the upper right side, then of course some folks will have a 2-flash setup, others will spend the money on a dedicated macro flash.

It's fun to explore, to practice, and see what we can come up with!
