It's been raining all week, so I haven't had a chance to go out and take any photos.
So here is a set from last month at Arrowhead Marsh during high tide. These
were taken with a 60D and 500 f4LIS.

#5 is my pick here, followed by #2, but all are good. Probably not easy to get shots of this species, so, well done.

That's a very special series George as these guys are notoriously hard to find and get close too.
I really love the detail and crispness of the 1st and 5th images. The 1st one in particular is outstanding! Your captions add some nice humor too. :)

Thanks Anke, BGgraphy, Mark, Levina, bgraham, Steve, and Gary. This was the 4th time I had gone out to shoot these birds here. Definitely got luck to see this one come out in the open like this. I had the 1.4x on when it came out. It was too close, so I had to take it off and move back to get the shots. Here is one of the early shots with the 1.4x extender on:
