I originally wasn't going to say anything about shooting these with a Powershot S95, but some of these are pretty noisy, so I felt I needed to add the disclaimer.

The club where I shot these always had a very lax camera policy, so I never had any issues bringing my gear in when I couldn't secure a pass. But lately they've been cracking down on people bringing in dslr's, so I had to leave my gear in the car for this show. I came prepared and had my S95 with me though.

Not many people at the show (maybe 300-400), so I was able to secure a good spot at the front of the barrier. Lighting wasn't that great but during his solos, The Rev would walk over to the left side of the stage right under a bright spotlight, so I got a lot of decent shots from that angle.

Thanks, I really wasn't sure about those two at first. I thought #2 looked way too noisy...guess the preview pic looks okay but any larger than that and you really start to see it.

And the flash on #3 was *very* harsh, so I had do some heavy editing to save it. Wasn't sure if I overdid it though. I did a b&w edit too but I think it looks a little better with some color.

they are 2 good moments. if you were in the pit for 2 i would have said you should have moved left a bit to get the bass bead in the shot. but that is a nit pick.

if Rene was still around he would have said "pity about the bass player in number 3". but for a S100 shot from the rail, its a great moment. they dont all have to be technically perfect.
