I am seriously considering getting a 1DMk2 or Mk2n and wondered what lenes will work with it, sort of a list If there is one would be good.
I know my 18-55 won't work, so is there a good replacement for it that will work with the 1D series?

I didn't have any efs lenses so everything worked will. I just wished the sigma 30mm 1.4 worked. Plan on playing with the camera for a but as the user interface is different but easy once you get the hang of it. 5D MKI | 1D MKII | 24-70mm 2.8 L | 80-200MM 2.8 L | 400mm 5.6 L |50mm 1.8

It is one of my best lenses on my 1dmk2. Fuji XT-1, 18-55mm

On a serious note, how's the vignetting on APS-H?Got 35L for my 5d/5dmk2. Wish sigms worked on FF. Vignetting not problem unless you shoot fast f4. I am using mine mostly at f1.4. Here is an indoor shot showing the vignetting. You get similar with any fast aperture EF lens on FF camera. Outdoor shot for comparison. Fuji XT-1, 18-55mm

I've been thinking about the EF 35/2 for my next lens, but now this makes me reconsider the Siggy. I want something wider than 50 for my 1D II..although it's ~50% more expensive than the Canon. Kel

So best lens for the dollar would probably be the 17-40 then? Bruce

Mar 18, 2012 13:04 | #10 17-40 on the 1D2 was awesome. If you are looking for a little more savings over the 24-105, the 28-135mm IS USM is a great lens. Can't really beat it for the (used) price. I wouldn't pay for it new, but $250 for it is a great deal. 5D4 | 8-15L | 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS | 24L II | 40mm pancake | 100L IS | 70-200mm f/2.8L IS mk2 | 400mm f/4 DO IS
