canon s2 as webcam

I've resently got the canon s2 and as a backpaker who is now traveling in australia I would really like to do video conversations with people at home.
So as you mght guess I want to know if there is any way to use the canon s2 as a webcam

To my knowledge it is not possible to use the S2 IS as a webcam. But even if it was possible I would not recommended it.
Using such an expensive camera as a webcam is IMHO overkill. And don't forget that you must have lot's af battery's at hand or a powersupply.
If using the CCD or CMOS sensor for a long period of time you will have building many heat up in your camera and that's not so healty for the sensor and the camera.
I suggest that you buy a low cost 10-20 $ or € webcam and you save yourself and your camera alot of troubles.
And a webcam you connect it and your of. With the S2 you will be loosing much time to get it to work, if you succeed at all.
