I'm thinking of selling mine but probably not here because I won't even attempt to think about shipping it. When I bought it, it was iffy if I could get one off the net, shops listed them but didn't actually have them in stock or said you they were a special order item. I lucked out and found a local specialty shop that had one and I was also able to get the opal glass and support ring setup that helps the glass be more stable but those parts took more than a month to get, and the dealer ordered them from the factory. I'm wondering what I can ask for it? It's in perfect new condition about a year old or less with diffuser and just happens to have the good Elinchrom speedring but I won't include that in the charge because so many use other light sources. I figure I'll put it up on the local Craigslist but what should I ask?

Seattle, USA, it's big and about 12 pounds, but I'm hoping someone can give me an idea what to ask, with the accessories (yes expensive) it was around $900 I think when everything was added up, but then again I didn't have to pay shipping. I'm guessing $500? Any input? I've used it mainly for portraits, especially works well with people who are older, wear glasses that don't have glare free lenses and I absolutely love it for table top/food and product photography. I work in my apartment and it just takes up too much room. Incredible light source.

Jannie, I just bought one not so long ago and shipping is crazy, like $200, not worth the hassle, sell it locally. Which accessories are you selling it with? I paid 20% less of B&H's price which is $648 or so.

I agree, sell it locally as the shipping will be a killer. I tried to pick up a Setti from FM buy & sell a while back and the deal ended up broken due to the shipping cost. I found a demo Euro locally and picked it up instead.

Just noticed you're located in Seattle. Dang I wish I found you before I picked up my unit. I'm in Issaquah and was trying to get Setti or Euro for a while last year. I even placed a preorder at B&H but ended up cancelling it due to extended delay.

BTW, $500 sounds like a great deal to me so long as it's in minty condition. You might not have paid shipping, but you did pay 9.5% tax.
