And I was saying that the 100-400 and 200-400 are completely different lenses, so yet it makes sense. 1 stop is a huge difference, especially in weight/size when talking telephoto lenses.
yes they are, but given that rumors of a MK2 100-400 have been around literally for years, I wouldn't hold my breath for one. and then I see the 200-400 pop up my personal guess was no more 100-400. But Canon I am not, so who knows for sure what they will do. Then again if it is around the $11K asking price that has been bandied around, I certainly won't be buying one!!

Is the kiwi dollar in the crapper? the non IS 2.8 can be had new from HK for A$1200 aussie. and the F4 IS for A$1120 Not sure what that translates to in kiwi money however.
