Will 60fps video slow down if the whole video is exported as 23.97fps?

I understand you can slow the 60fps video down to 24fps in post thus producing slow motion video. This usually takes a step (i use premiere's conform to 24fps option). I didnt get a chance to test so im wondering if I drop in a 60fps video into a 24fps master sequence, but dont conform it, will it get slowed down in the export?

I want to have a mix of framerates but export as 24fps. But for my 60fps videos theres times where I want to keep the smooth 60fps look. Is this possible?

I'm a total novice at this so any details I give will be worthless, but I have seen that it is possible to output 60fps video at a slower rate, keeping every frame and producing slow motion video and it is also possible to convert the 60fps footage to a slower rate, discarding some frames so that it plays at "normal" speed. The details of how to do those two things will depend on what software you are using.

I am assuming you are talking about Premiere Pro. If so, 60fps footage will play normal on a 24fps timeline as long as you don't interpret the footage as 24fps before dropping it onto the timeline.

the simple answer is no.

Most apps will actually remove frames to match the project frame rate.

Thank you. Interpret is what I meant. And yes Premiere. What does play normal mean though? Original fps or timeline fps?

If you made a 24fps Sequence, it doesnt matter what fps your clips are in, they will all play at 24fps real time when you put them on the 24fps timeline. Not slower, not faster, normal play speed.

Does shutter speed effect fps playback? Instead of 1/50ss which is what my ss shouldve been for my 1080 24p video, I had it at 1/80 for some clips so im a bit worried.

Yes it does. You should be fine. It really depends on what you were shooting and the look your're going for. If it was head and shoulders your shot should be usable. If you were shooting action or had a lot of camera movement your shots might look a bit choppy.

This is a great crash course in frame rate and shutter speed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8y0279fXmcc (external link)

Well its a music video so the lips need to be lined up exactly as I shot it, what a noob mistake on my part  sometimes I dont even realize that I accidentally spinned the shutter speed dial, wish I could lock it.
