In fact, I own a relatively inexpensive ball head from a now defunct photography equipment company named Amvona. It is the ATH-A09 ball head and I am missing one of the main knobs. I don't know where it went... perhaps I wasn't kind enough to it. Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.

Is there a post sticking out of it where the knob use to be? If so you can go to a hardware store and buy some sort of knob and fasten it on. If there is a hole where the knob use to be, I would guess it would be easier to just buy a new ball head. Do you still have the other one? If so, you can take it out and try to fit it in the missing knob's place. If it works, take it to a hardware store and find out the exact thread/pitch of the knob. From there you can buy a bolt and start fabricating a replacement. If that sounds like too much work, then buy another ball head. gordon
