60d hand straps?

Does anyone know a good quality hand strap for people with big hands? I don't have the battery grip and not planning on it for some time. Any opinion is appreciated.

Canon or herringbone (Made in Korea). It comes with a plate and such and if you're a big enough nerd like so many of us you can get the black strap with red stitching to match all of your LLLLLLLLLLLLLLL's. Do a search in this section and you should find a thread on it.

Wonder if you can use the herringbone handstrap with a PU-50 QR plate?

OP not sure if you would like this, but I personally use the stock neck strap and wrap it into a handwrap. I use pretty similiar if not the same technique as seen in this video http://www.youtube.com …B6Qxs_p8s&featu​re=related

The good thing about it is that your hand is locked in and even if you lose grip for some reason like getting bumped the way it's wrapped around your wrist will lock in place so you won't drop your camera. It's also more beneficial if you end up holding your camera in hand for long periods of time. Once you get the techinque down and you're able to do it fast it works pretty well IMO, however it's not the most convienent and it can be a hassle if you don't know how to wrap it well. When I first started doing it I would get mix up all the time...Also if you're going to put the camera away frequently it's not even worth it.

just received a herringbone and I don't like it and will be selling it .. also I just received a setup from carry speed which includes a wrist strap which I love .. in fact I just ordered a second wrist strap for my 50d ..

Can you explain to those of us who own and love the Herringbone what causes you to 'dislike' it?

just don't like it , doesn't feel secure and I have a hard time useing the back buttons with it .. my hands are large .. with the carry speed it's around the wrist and I feel more secure with it .. I have in the past done what is shown on u-tube of wraping the neck strap around my wrist ..

It just takes time to get use too I guess... I like mine lol

Ok, so I have a 50D . . . but the Opteka is always on it!

The Markins is pure luxury, all soft leather and very durable, very comfortable.

Very expensive.

The Herringbone really looks good in an ad but the only sources I have been able to find are in Korea and cost about $46 with the mounting plate (http://www.ebay.com …Grips&hash=item​1c2146ef86). They are returnable but shipping to Korea isn't cheap, thus most people would likely just eat the cost and mark it up to experience.

Anyone out there really have one and like it?

I just got my 60D last night and moved my Herringbone to it from the T2i. Awesome fit. It's actually much better suited to the 60D it would seem. I have avg. sized hands and it's just right.

I'm very happy with the (gasp!) Nikon hand strap. It includes an Acra-Swiss compatible plate with a threaded hole in the plate, so I can mount a flash bracket, etc. The plate has a slot to install another strap, quick-release, etc. if you want to use a sling style strap in addition.

I use this on a 60D without a grip. I do not have very large hands, and needed to reroute the webbing in order to cinch down well. If you have large hands, it may be a good fit as-is.

I also modified the plate to install a small pin, to prevent rotation, similar to the very nice ProMediaGear plates.
