Joby Ballhead X for Gorillapod SLR-ZOOM

I have the Gorillapod SLR-ZOOM and I'm wondering if I should get the Ballhead X SLR-ZOOM or the Ballhead.
Will the Ballhead X fit the SLR ZOOM tripod? I have Canon 550D and do not own any large zoom lenses

The Ballhead X should fit the SLR-Zoom fine. It was made to match up with the GorillaPod Focus, so it might look a bit big on your SLR-Zoom. The Ballhead X is also Arca compatible which sets you up nicely if you're thinking about switching or already use Arca style plates. If you bought the regular Ballhead, you'd have to use their own plate which you'd have to swap out if you use any other tripod or ball head.

It is a beast. It holds up a gripped 7D and a 70-200II I love the ballhead X . I think it may be a bit big. get a smaller/cheaper one.

A5, can you post up some photo with your 7D + 70-200 setup tilted for portrait orientation this ballhead X?

i was thinking about buying this ballhead for my dolica CF tripod.
