The theme this week was shape and you all gave me a very had time judging but I had to keep coming back to the theme to help me pick the one that best fit that theme.

pappawheely....
Great shot though shape isn't front and center in this image though I really like it the photograph A LOT!!!!

Maureen.... Another killer photograph. Beautiful color and clarity.

MSGJD... Love the sheepdog in the sky.

Garry.....GREAT curve of the neck on this.

Kevan.... This is one that demands attention but I really like the subtleties

teekay...Interesting and thought provoking image.

Mike53545....Great color saturation and the shape of the flower is very pronounced.

Jason..... Great job of showing a very soft shape in the sliced in half circle. The soft colors all help reenforce the overall softness of the shape, the circle. The lines all lead to the semicircle shape. This image is about SOFT SHAPE and everything in this image helps support that. Thats why I picked this as the winning image this week though my choice was very difficult. I like the fact that you took a less obvious approach and it is the one image that really stands out as different but above all of that for me it really fit the challenge. So congrats Jason...

devank....loved the repeating shapes in this.

kbcolorado....Nice simple repeating shapes.

Warm Circle indeed John. Nice and was another fav of mine this week.

keebert... Another pronounced shape in blue.. Good job.

T3.... Really like someone took the getting in shape direction.

So Jason is #1 and the rest are #2,seriously. GREAT JOB EVERYONE. I liked every entry this week.

I was not expecting this, thank you Allen. Everyone did a great job here, and KB, I loved your submission.

I forgot to mention my submission is best viewed larger, and at least a distance of two feet or more.

I have the next challenge posted up tomorrow night.

Thank you again, and well done all.

Yay for Jason!!! Well done, Sir :)
Nice work from everyone this week; I think I would have had a heck of a time picking a winner.
Allen, I have had a photography fetish with my poppies this spring; they are right out front & up the walkway and everyone on my street has been commenting on them. Maybe it is because they are a bright blast of color where everyone else's gardens are in the doldrums ;) Anyways, thanks for the hosting job this week!

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Congrats Jason ... it's always fascinating to see what you come up with next. Thanks Allen for hosting the challenge. Lots of different approaches to an interesting concept.

cheers

A really nice, dramatic, image you posted Jason, congrats! Nice going Allen, I don't think any of us wanted your task this week. LOL!

So...a week ago my missus and I went to a local museum gallery and there was a painting done black on black, and that's what spurred my entry. Originally, I was thinking of buying all sorts of different black candies (I'm a licorice hound) and using them to create...well, something. Then the idea of mimicking a Picasso came to mind, so I went with that. Less calories and cheaper. I simply cut out the shapes from black paper and positioned them on black poster board for the shot. The rest is pp. The paper used is now at the curb waiting for the recycling truck to arrive.

Congratulations Jason!

All really interesting interpretations of this wide open theme so tough to choose, but I think my own favourite was Garry's bird.

teekay....I loved Garrys bird but Jasons subject in his photo was shape. Everything about the image was shape. ;)
